Binance's CZ Drops Bombshells on Bitcoin's Future and Satoshi's Identity in Turkey

In a fiery Turkish interview, Binance co-founder Changpeng 'CZ' Zhao isn't holding back on the future of Bitcoin and his wild guesses about who Satoshi Nakamoto might be.

CZ just teased a bombshell interview on his latest chat with Turkish crypto enthusiast and blockchain game Pow Ahoy's founder, Erhan Ünal. When grilled about the real identity of Bitcoin's mastermind, CZ admitted he's clueless but shared some crazy theories buzzing in the crypto world.

Imagine this: Satoshi Nakamoto might be a time-traveling software that zoomed back to the past just to drop Bitcoin on us!

During his chat with Ünal and Uygar Taze, CZ confessed he's never crossed paths with the elusive Bitcoin founder. But he knows folks who swapped emails with him back in the day.

"I know people who have, in the early days. They had email exchanges, there's maybe less than 10 people. So I don't know who he is, but I think it's good that we don't [know who he is]," CZ dropped.

He's also not sure if Satoshi Nakamoto is one genius or a mastermind team. CZ praised whoever's behind it for "covering their tracks really well," leaving no IP address or solid clues. That's why wild theories about Satoshi keep popping up.

"There are other sort of stranger answers. Where they might be a software coming back through time, all of these possibilities. It's hard to imagine now but could be possible. But regardless, I don't know who he is," CZ added, keeping us guessing.

The mystery of Satoshi Nakamoto's identity has been a hot topic for ages. It exploded again in October 2024 when HBO's "Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery" promised to unmask Bitcoin's shadowy creator.

HBO pointed fingers at Canadian cryptographer Peter Todd, but he's denied being Satoshi and had to go into hiding for his safety.

The future of Bitcoin after Satoshi Nakamoto

CZ didn't stop there. He boldly declared that Bitcoin will outshine gold. He gets why people compare Bitcoin to gold—they need something familiar to wrap their heads around this new beast.

But he's not buying it. Gold can't hold a candle to Bitcoin.

"Humans also have a tendency to not always use something old to estimate something new. We do not estimate the potential of Tesla using digital cars. We do not estimate the future of what Bitcoin can do based on what gold can do," CZ fired back.

"So Bitcoin will be way bigger than gold. I'm very convinced on that, it just takes time. I just don't know when it will happen. But it will happen," he hammered home.

Just recently, on April 23, Bitcoin flexed its muscles, becoming the fifth largest asset by market cap, leaving silver, Amazon, and Google in the dust. Even ARK Investment's CEO Cathie Wood is betting Bitcoin's market cap will one day eclipse gold's.

But at press time, Bitcoin's slipped to seventh place with a market cap of $1.88 trillion. Gold's still king, holding strong at $22.1 trillion.
