Sony Singapore Goes Crypto-Crazy: USDC Now Accepted for Purchases!
Tech Giant Teams Up with Crypto.com to Revolutionize Payments
Hold onto your hats, folks! Sony Singapore just dropped a bombshell: they're now accepting the stablecoin USDC for payments, thanks to a sizzling partnership with Crypto.com. And get this—they're not stopping there. Sony's got plans to bring more crypto assets into the mix soon!
Starting April 2 at 11:00 SST, you can dive into Sony's online store and splash out on their slick electronics using USDC. It's all made possible by Crypto.com's slick payment system, Crypto.com Pay, which lets you zip through transactions without those pesky network fees. No more waiting around, just instant gratification!
In a move that's turning heads, Sony Electronics Singapore is the first big-name electronics brand in the city-state to jump on the Crypto.com bandwagon, making stablecoin payments a reality for their customers. And they're not just dipping their toes in—they're diving headfirst into the crypto pool, aiming to boost crypto adoption across Singapore.
Chin Tah Ang, the big cheese at Crypto.com Singapore, is all in on this game-changer. He's all about making crypto payments as easy as pie for Sony's customers, showing off just how sweet stablecoin transactions can be.
"We're on a mission to make crypto payments the new normal, and teaming up with a trailblazer like Sony Electronics Singapore is a huge step forward. It's all about showing folks how easy it is to use crypto for everyday stuff," Ang declared with a grin.
USDC isn't just any stablecoin—it's the heavyweight champ, coming in second only to USDT with a whopping $60 billion market cap. With over 60 billion USDC coins floating around, it's clear this stablecoin is a force to be reckoned with.
To get the party started, Sony Singapore's online store is rolling out the red carpet for Crypto.com users with not one, but two killer promos. The first 50 customers to drop at least 300 SGD ($223) in USDC on Sony's site through Crypto.com Pay will score a free LinkBuds Speaker, valued at 299 SGD. Talk about a sweet deal!
But wait, there's more! The first 150 customers to spend at least 100 SGD in USDC will pocket an extra 20 USDC in their Crypto.com account. And if you're feeling extra spendy and drop 300 SGD, you can double-dip and snag both promos. It's a crypto bonanza!
Remember last February when Metro, the department store chain in Singapore, started accepting stablecoin payments? They teamed up with DTCPAY to let customers use USDT, USDC, and WUSD in both their physical and online stores. Looks like Singapore's going all-in on crypto!
